SVH Master Chef Lars van Galen

Lars van Galen was born in Enschede and during his training "Star Class" (an initiative of the Dutch Guild of Master Chefs) he worked in several prominent restaurants like Restaurant ‘Onder de Boompjes’ and ‘Chateau Neercanne’ in Maastricht. After completing the "Star Class", he joined the white brigade of Restaurant ‘Château Neercanne’ as chef de parti and worked here for five years at the level of sous chef.

In 2007 it was time to make the move to ‘De Bloemenbeek’ in de Lutte as Chef de Cuisine. In this role, Lars has gained the ability to set policy in the kitchen and to develop their own style of cooking. Again, he aspired to the highest attainable not only culinary but also in terms of organization, training, human resources and commerce. On March 1, 2012 he took over Tuindorphotel & Restaurant 't Lansink together with his partner Richard van den Hoeven.
